Discovering historical and artistic Bologna

Bologna, with its medieval towers and imposing churches, is a city that tells centuries of history through its architecture. For me, a New Yorker fascinated by Italy's cultural richness, every corner of Bologna is a chapter in a fascinating book waiting to be read.

A journey through the centuries

The beating heart of Bologna's history lies in its cobbled streets and lively squares. Piazza Maggiore, with the Basilica of San Petronio, is an ideal starting point for a journey into the past. This church, one of the largest in Europe, is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, with interiors that tell stories of faith and art.

Modernity meets history Botlé

Amidst this historical richness, a stop in Botlé offers a refreshing break. Botlé, with its selection of local wines and innovative food tastings, is a place where modernity blends harmoniously with tradition. It is ideal for reflecting on the beauties you have just discovered, while enjoying a glass of wine in a contemporary setting.

The Towers of Bologna

Another iconic symbol of Bologna are its medieval towers. The Asinelli Tower, with its 498 steps, offers a breathtaking view of the city. Climbing to the top is an experience that combines history and adventure, offering views that encompass centuries of urban evolution.

Other places not to be missed

After a day of exploration, “Ristorante Diana”, located near Piazza Maggiore, is the perfect place for an elegant dinner. With dishes that reflect Bologna's culinary history, this restaurant offers a gastronomic experience that rounds out your day beautifully.
