Bottiglia di Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella Barriques 2015 accanto a un piatto di brasato al Barolo.

Zeni Amarone and Barolo braised meat: a meeting of intense flavours

On a cold winter evening, when the silence is interrupted only by the crackling of the fire in the fireplace, I had the pleasure of discovering the Zeni Amarone della Valpolicella Barriques 2015. This wine is a work of liquid art, an emblem of strength and opulence .

Zeni's Amarone, with its bold and rich taste, stands out for its intense aromas of raisins, dried figs and berries. On the palate, it is a symphony of complex and layered flavors, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, and an aftertaste that persists, leaving an indelible memory.

To accompany this jewel of Valpolicella, I chose a dish that could withstand the intensity and richness of the wine: a Barolo braised meat. The meat, cooked slowly in wine, becomes tender and succulent, absorbing the intense aromas of Barolo. The rich and velvety sauce that accompanies the braised meat is the ideal stage for the velvety tannins and fruity notes of Amarone.

As the wine and food blended in a marriage of intense, enveloping flavors, the atmosphere warmed with laughter and conversation. The Zeni Amarone was not just a wine to be enjoyed; he was a protagonist who transformed a simple dinner into a memorable experience, a journey through the flavors and traditions of Valpolicella.
