Bottiglia di Vigneti di Foscarino Soave Classico 2020 con un piatto di baccalà mantecato in un'atmosfera invernale.

Vineyards of Foscarino Soave Classico and creamed cod, a winter embrace

  1. On a cold winter evening, with snow gently covering the hills, I decided to break the monotony of the cold with a touch of warmth and color. The protagonist of the evening was the Vigneti di Foscarino Soave Classico 2020, a white wine from northern Italy which, despite its summer soul, was able to warm hearts in this cold season.

The Soave Classico, with its aromas of honey, liquorice and wild flowers, brought with it a memory of sunny and carefree days, a pleasant contrast to the winter quiet. Its elegance and freshness are a testament to the versatility of the Garganega grape, capable of creating a wine that shines even on the coldest days.

To accompany this jewel, I chose a dish that could reflect the same surprise and warmth: creamed cod. This classic of Venetian cuisine, with its creamy texture and rich flavor, created a delicious contrast with the freshness and lightness of Soave Classico. Every bite of cod, accompanied by wine, was a journey between different seasons, an embrace between winter and memories of summer.

The evening took place in an intimate and comforting atmosphere, with the wine shining like a warm light amidst the cold, and the cod offering a unique culinary comfort. The combination of flavors demonstrated that even a typically summer wine can find its perfect place on a winter evening, bringing with it a touch of sun and warmth.
